The Breeze BSD City, Tangerang

On 29th of May, my friend (Ang) and I went to The Breeze BSD City.

As quoted from http://thebreeze.bsdcity.com/ — The BREEZE BSD CITY is located within 25 Ha of BSD Green Office Park in Bumi Serpong Damai, South Tangerang City and will be known as the destination to go for spectacular dining, dynamic nightlife, and leisure activities.

It is a lifestyle center, shopping stores area with a concept of open air. So to put it in the simplest way, The Breeze is a mall but instead of a building, it's outdoor. The Breeze is a mall without walls.

To go there, Ang drove us from our meeting point; Kalideres, West Jakarta. We'd never been there before so we relied on Google maps and navigator.

The address could easily accessed with the help of Google Maps.

It took us less than an hour without traffic. The place was kind of reserved, typical relaxation place for people within above average to high class incomes. I don't think it's advisable going there relying to public transportation. Walking passed the first security post and the front entrance would be too taxing. Other than private ride, well, the other option is online transportation (Gojek, Grab, or Uber).

Although the place had opened since 2013, it was still kind of empty. I don't know if it's because of Ramadhan, but there were not so many visitors yesterday — compared to how spacious the place is, at least.

Even the tenants were not that many. From the shopping categories I've only saw The Ranch Market and Guardian. On the dining categories there were several places I saw in our walk around, some of them that I could remember were; Sate Khas Senayan, Sushi Tei, Jittlada, Dermaga Makassar Seafood, Wee Nam Kee, Chakra Hall & Lounge, The Docks, Pesto Autentico, Baracik, Old Town White Coffee, and Starbucks. There were also foodcourt area, and places for light snacks, street foods, and drinks, bubbles and milk tea, like Shi-da and Kamu Tea. On the entertainments categories, I have only saw and went to The Breeze imax XXI — where Ang and I spent two hours waiting for breakfasting time watching Deadpool 2 (hehehe).

True to its concept, waking around The Breeze was like walking around a huge, prettily decorated garden. We hadn't seen much yesterday, but we had gone to the manmade lake (Ang said it was Black Swan lake, idk.), and then to across said lake (The Gold's Gym), to the live-event center (where stages located for when there'd be live performances or something.), and the garden at the furthest back where Cisadane River run passed on the side.

The Black Swan Lake (named so, according to Ang).

My favorite spot was under the canopy. I wonder if it was only during Ramadhan month, but I personally loved the colorful lanterns put on the roof. At night when they all lighted up, the sight was pretty.

My favorite spot, due to its pretty decorations.

We initially planned to dine in Wee Nam Kee after watching Deadpool, but when we went there it had looked like the place was booked for the night. We didn't feel like eating somewhere else, nor we have other recommended restaurant planned, so we decided to have small snacks first while we thinking about it. That's why we ended up in Shi-da; which served Taiwan street food.

There, I tried Salted Egg Crispy Chicken (in my preference, it wasn't salty and spicy enough) while Ang ordered the mozzarella ones. I had also visited Kamu Tea and ordered Rose Lemon Tea beforehand (it'd tasted like a flower just freshly picked and then dipped in water, sour and yuck-ish, lols.) In the end, we didn't go eat anything else. Both of us have felt full already.

It was a good day.

At the very least, we're no longer curious and now we could tell others we've been to The Breeze (haha.) On the way home, Google navigator failed us and made us follow the wrong road. It took two times longer to Jakarta, despite the lack of traffic jam — pffftt, shame on you, maps.

We talked about many things and I sincerely think, personally, that it was because we were both such a good company to each others that even an uneventful day still felt pretty nice. What can I say, the girl is one of my favorite person for a reason. ;)

Now to the next visit!
